Two videos are going viral on social media recently in which two college-looking lovers were seen kissing each other at a public place on two different railway platforms. Regardless of whether it is a public place or not, they have become a topic of discussion on social media.

Upon further investigation, mid-day found that the two platforms were identified as Dombivali and CSMT of Central Railway. One video was taken by a passenger on the platform near Dombivli’s platform No.5, while another video was taken by a passenger from the train while the lovers were standing at a CSMT platform.

The first video is likely to have been taken at Dombivli station before the train was taking off and the second video is likely to have been taken from the train while the lovebirds were at the platform.

Giving more details about the incident at Dombivli railway station platform No.5, Shailesh, who works in the railway canteen near the spot, told mid-day: “Passengers were angry at the couple who looked like collegians. Upon further inquiry, I came to know that the couple was kissing each other in public place and the other two passengers objected to all this behavior in a public place and left.”

Surprisingly, the same couple repeated the same move on the CSMT platform, even though passengers objected to the move in a public place. A passenger named Santosh Salvi told mid-day, “What to say to today’s generation? There is no such thing as shame. Others are embarrassed to see such antics in a public place, but they enjoy it. Parents can’t even dream of what their kids
are doing.

“We have also seen the video,” Anil Shelke, a Dombivli government railway police officer told mid-day. “It is wrong to do such things in a public place. We have registered an NC and are investigating further for misconduct in a public place. We could not get the footage as there was no CCTV camera coverage where the incident took place.”
