MMRDA says final touches being given to three-lane flyover built to ease traffic on the Eastern Express Highway
The unidirectional three-lane flyover is almost complete
Motorists crossing the busy Chedda Nagar junction on the Eastern Express Highway (EEH) will get a huge relief soon, as the three-lane flyover being constructed to ease traffic is almost complete.

The Chedda Nagar junction is one of the most important ones in the city, and vehicles headed towards Ghatkopar from Santacruz-Chembur Link Road (SCLR), Eastern Freeway and South Mumbai assimilate at this point. Commuters face traffic jams during morning and evening peak hours.
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) had started construction of the flyover to solve the issue of congestion at the junction. The unidirectional three-lane flyover is almost complete, mid-day saw during a visit to the site on Tuesday.
An MMRDA official also confirmed, “The work on the three-lane flyover is complete and final touches are being given. It will be opened for traffic soon.”
Cabinet minister Aaditya Thackeray, along with MMRDA Metropolitan Commissioner S V R Srinivas, visited the flyover on January 26.
