Virar school deaths: Post-mortem report reveals injuries to private parts

The Three Std IX students who had been found dead last month in a drain behind their residential school have not committed suicide as suspected, a post-mortem report has revealed. Police had alleged the trio had jumped into the water, but reports found no symptoms of drowning.

The three students Meet Suresh Chadwa (14), Prahul Narayan Patel (14) and Kushal Nilesh Dagha (14) studied in Vagad Gurukul International School and had been found dead on August 25 behind the school, in a drain. Police had alleged that the trio had run away from school after being reprimanded by teachers and committed suicide by jumping into the water.

However, doctors have not found any clues symptomatic to drowning such as water in lungs or stomach. Doctors also found deep injuries to the private parts of one of the students. Injuries to the head and hands were observed on all three students. The exact cause of death is yet to be known.

In a press conference yesterday, the parents made these revelations and alleged that schoolteachers had murdered their children for personal reasons. Police had arrested Arun Sharma, the science teacher, Ritusudan Garg, the Sanskrit teacher and Ashish Khanvilakar, the school accountant, in the case. Senior inspector Sunil Mane of Virar police station said, “The bodies of students were found in a three-foot deep drain. We are awaiting the final post-mortem report.”
