University of Mumbai donates Rs 25 lakh for J&K flood victims

The University of Mumbai donated an amount of Rs 25 lakh today to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to rehabilitate victims of devastating floods in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

Mumbai: The University of Mumbai donated an amount of Rs 25 lakh today to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to rehabilitate victims of devastating floods in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.


University of Mumbai's Vice Chancellor Rajan Welukar met Maharashtra Governor and Chancellor of the University Ch Vidyasagar Rao at Raj Bhavan, Mumbai and presented a cheque of Rs 25 lakh addressed to the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund for the disaster in Jammu and Kashmir.


Appreciating the university's gesture, the Maharashtra Governor forwarded the cheque to Prime Minister Narendra Modi today itself, an official spokesperson said.
