Identity of gangster arrested by the special cell of Delhi police in Malad is Munna Bajrangi or someone else is still a mystery for Mumbai police.


According to Delhi Police, a team leaded by Inspector Lalit Kumar raided a house in Malad and arrested a gangster suspected to be Bajrangi.

The wanted gangster had allegedly murdered ACP Rajbir Yadav,the encounter specialist of Delhi police. Yadav was killed in a property dealer's office in Gurgaon in 2008, said the cops.


But additional commissioner of Mumbai northern region Ramrao Patil said, "I was not informed about the arrest, I only came to know that when a lady came to Malad police station complaining that her husband had been arrested by the Delhi Police."


On the other hand senior inspector, Malad police said, he had no information about the identity of the gangster.

Bajrangi is wanted by the UP police in as many as ninety cases of murder and extortion. The UP police had also announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh on his head.

Bajrangi a resident of Jaunpur District of UP came in limelight after the murder of BJP legislator from Uttar Pradesh Krishnand Rai in 2005 and later his name appeared also appeared in ACP Rajbir Yadav's murder.u00a0

Meanwhile the Delhi police PRO Rajan Bhagat said, "I don't have any information about the arrest and as far as the case of Yadav is concerned, CBI is investagating the case."

The arrested convict will be taken to Delhi by train where he will be interrogated by the special cell.
