A eunuch assaulted a  train guard associated with the Western Railway early Saturday morning at Andheri station. According to a report in The Times of India, the train guard was on his way to work at 3.35 am when the incident happened.


The eunuch, who was inebriated state, approached the train guard, Sanjay Shinde and demanded money from him after which he hit him on his back and eyes. The eunuch also brandished a razor blade and threatened him. Shinde cried for help after which a home guard, who witnessed the incident while approaching them, came to his aid. The eunuch fled the spot after spotting the home guard. The home guard then escorted Shinde to the station master’s office.


Shinde and the home guard were posted on the same train for duty, where the former worked with a swollen face and later took a leave. The home guard filed a complaint against the eunuch, who was booked for extortion, but no arrests were made in the case.
