Vocalist and composer Megan Murray set to perform at Lollapalooza

LA-based Megan Murray’s performance at Lollapalooza will offer a peek into her debut album

It is always a thrill to come home. For Megan Murray (above), this weekend will mark a remarkable homecoming. She will be performing at one of the city’s biggest music festivals in Lollapalooza. In addition, the vocalist and composer will also infuse her set with works from her upcoming debut album.

Best described as an eclectic mix of Americana and soul, the album is currently being produced in Nashville by Dex Green. Her album also features a virtual supergroup of the city’s session elites including Jack Lawrence of the Raconteurs and Audley Freed and Jen Gunderman of singer Sheryl Crow’s band.

Having moved to Los Angeles in 2014, the singer was part of Shemekia’ Copeland’s Grammy Award-nominated album, Come Too Far... The singer’s new work captures her long experience performing across genres on stages such as Bitter End in New York City to Blues legend, Buddy Guy’s Legends in Chicago.
