Herbal oil is the best medicine for a healthy glowing skin. Rather than looking for essential oil based creams and moisturisers, it is good to apply the oils directly for better and quick results. However, remember, that while some herbal oils can be used in undulated form, some needs to be diluted before using. So read the instructions on the bottles carefully before application. Here is a list of five essential oils for all skin types, the application of which can render a healthy glowing skin:

Lavender oil: The oil is induced with antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. It is used to treat scars, and heal injuries. Apart from the medicinal uses, lavender oil can also be applied on the face, body and scalp to relieve pain, stress and disinfectants. Its cooling property eliminates nervous tension and refreshing aroma refreshes the mind and body.

Tea tree oil: This form of oil is packed with antibacterial and antifungal properties, and its benefits for the skin is countless. Tea tree oil is a great healer to oily and acne prone skin. Dab few drops of tea tree oil on a cotton ball and apply it all over the face and especially on infected areas. Regular usage of this essential oil lowers dark spots, blemishes, burn marks, and pimples. One can also opt for tea tree oil based face wash, body wash, shampoo and lotions for healthy skin and hair.

Olive oil: Though this is a staple oil in many kitchens across the world, yet is used and recommended by beauty experts across the world. The application of olive oil heals anti-aging marks, cures cracked heels and chapped lips, moisturises the skin, and overall improves skin health by leaving it soft, supple, and glowing. Olive oil acts as a great make up remover. So, dab olive oil on cotton balls and use it to clean the day- long make up.

Geranium Oil: This is the first and foremost ingredient for a radiant skin. Geranium Oil is used since ages to treat acne and inflammation. The sweet smelling oil is not only applied to get a radiant skin, but also to ease anxiety, fatigue and enhance emotional wellness. Appropriate application of geranium oil lowers the development of wrinkles and acne and renders a flawless skin. Few drops of the essential oil can be added on body wash and face wash during shower. It acts as a great muscle toner and natural deodorant too.

Lemongrass oil: This is an effective cleanser for all types of skin. Few drops of lemongrass oil can be added to soaps, body lotions, shampoos, conditioners, and face wash for healthy hair and skin. The oil can also be used as an astringent and skin toner. Its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties make it one of the best medicines to treat acne and pores. Mix lemongrass oil with a carrier oil to stay away from rash and irritation.
