Music lovers can head to Hard Rock Cafee to experience the magic of Blue Rock with Soulmate

They have Blues in their soul, and they are here to express it through their tour. Catch one of India's favourite Blues Rock band, Soulmate, perform live in the city. The gig is part of the Soulmate Sunshine Tour 2011 and features musicians Tipriti 'Tips' Kharbangar (vocals), Rudy Wallang (guitar), Leon (bass), Raveen Panday (hammond organ) and Sam (drums).

Considering the heavy rains in the city, the need for sunshine is a must, feels Wallang. The tour was conceptualised to bring their new compositions to listeners. "Fans kept enquiring when we will perform in their city. In this tour, we shall play our compositions before we take them to the studios," adds Rudy.

So do we see an album coming out soon? "We don't promise anything now, but this tour is a chance to understand and get to know what our listeners like and what they don't. And only after that, we shall sit down and record the new material. Another reason, why we call it the 'Soulmate Sunshine Tour' is because we have a new song we wrote that is called Sunshine," he states.

Considering the fact that the city loves them and their music, we ask Wallang what he expects from the audience this time? "We want the Pune audience to come with an open mind and in return we shall give them lots of love through our music."

According to Rudy, the gig will comprise originals written by him and Kharbangar as well as some instrumental music. Promising a high energy performance combined with some soulful ballads, Wallang wants the city to experience Soulmate like never before.

The talented band have never failed to impress, especially Wallang's definite guitar solos and Kharbangar's powerful and soulful vocals. So enjoy your Thursday evening, with some Blues, Rock and energetic performances

From July 21, 8.30 pm onwards
At Hard Rock Cafe, Koregaon Park.
