The monochrome selection aims to make the viewer contemplate and gaze beyond the evident, towards the unsaid and unexplored. While some of the works try to go to the core of an issue, others suggest alternate readings to events. The show gives expression to issues that are personal, political, immediate, universal, social and timeless.

Speaking about the concept behind the event, director Geetha Mehra says, “It occurred to me that a number of artists do work in black, white and grey, so why not have an exhibition of just this palette? India is so full of colour. This gave me an opportunity to pause and experience another colour-zone.”
