In 2014, when Anjali Harjani became a mother, she began searching for organic bedding for her newborn son. Living in Hong Kong then, the options she liked were neither accessible nor affordable. This led her to launch Malabar Baby, a Mumbai-based venture that offers handmade baby bedding and organic muslin swaddles. To discover what they feel like, drop in at the second edition of The Mommy Network Pop Up, an exhibition for mothers and babies.
Co-founders Tejal Bajla, Kiran Amlani and Shreya Lamba
Curated by Kiran Amlani, Shreya Lamba and Tejal Bajla, it offers an array of products, including clothing and wooden toys, from across the country. "Most of them are organic, be it food or toys," says Amlani.
On offer are elephant-printed scarves, jamdani kimono-style frocks and tie-and-dye skirts, along with handcrafted furniture, shape cushions and toys.
If you're keen to veer your kid towards healthy snacking, look out for millet-and barley-based crunchies from The Mumum Company that launches at the pop-up. End the day with a soothing spa session.
