In its fourth year, the Band Baja contest by NCPA hopes to scout for talent leaning towards Folkbased songs in Hindi or regional languages or a talent in playing an Indian instrument like tabla or flute.
Winners of this year's contest stand the opportunity to perform at the NCPA Experimental Theatre along with a video recording of their performance (a single edited track of their choice).
A complimentary ticket will be given to each member of the winning amateur bands for the One World Many Musics Festival, along with the opportunity to meet performing artistes Shantanu Moitra, Ani Choying, Kaushiki Chakrabarty and others at the festival.
