How do you plan to ring in your birthday?
Like every year I plan to ring in my birthday with my appa and my house help who is also part of our family. My birthday is a day where I thank my appa for bringing me into the world and house help for looking after me throughout the year. So it’s usually family time. Ofcourse I meet my friends for sometime but I’m not a party person anymore. It’s more about thanking people and God by visiting the temple, visiting street kids in my area, living life with them like how I used to be once upon a time. It’s all about gratitude and thanking God for everything he has made me into!
Are you a party person or do you prefer quiet birthdays?
I’m a mixture of both, I’m greedy in life! I want quiet family time with loved ones but I also want to scream from the rooftops that it’s my birthday and party!
Your most memorable birthday?
My most memorable birthday would be my last birthday with my mom. I was just 13. My birthday falls on February 13th and she passed away on March 1st. She was in the hospital but we cut a cake and hugged her. It will always be special because I never got to do that again.
What would your dream birthday celebration be like?
It would be bringing back my amma. She always wanted me to be a star, she’s the only person who thought I could be a hero even at that age. I would want her to enjoy whatever little I have made out of my life. That’s not going to happen but I’m happy with what God has given me.
The wish you hope comes true in the coming year?
I’ll be a little greedy again. Top most is working with Amitabh Bachchan sir, I became an actor because of him. Second is hosting a reality show, I think I’ll be good at it with my humorous side. My close friend Maniesh Paul always tells me ‘jis din tu aayega competition badh jaayega. Lastly, I want to win a reality show, maybe Khatron Ke Khiladi, I’ll put my heart into it. I wish a genie grants me these three wishes.
