In a conversation with mid-day.com Ritesh speaks about how he agreed to enter the show after keeping their marriage under wraps for two years, how he fell in love with Rakhi, allegations by his ex-wife that their marriage is illegal and much more.

Ritesh says, “I entered Bigg Boss as a birthday gift for Rakhi. She said it was her dream to show me to the world and she’s right. She put up with a lot for two years, she had to hear taunts from people so I wanted to put an end to it. I thought let's see what happens!”
Speaking about how they met and decided to get married he reveals, "I met Rakhi over WhatsApp but what touched me was when she wrote my name in her Mehendi. When she sent me that picture I didn’t want to hurt her feelings and met her. Then it was love at first sight. I had seen Rakhi but she hadn’t seen me, in fact, I had met Rakhi in the same blue suit that I wore on Bigg Boss. After that meeting, we decided to get married within a month.”
