Nimrat Kaur, who recently made her digital debut with The Test Case, says she took home her army uniform from the show.
"I have poured my blood and sweat into this project. It is extremely close to my heart because it was like a dream. I didn't have the heart to part with the uniform. I have never done this before. I feel, I earned that uniform." We couldn't agree more.
Interestingly, Nimrat's late father was an army officer as well. And the actress as a child was always in awe of the uniform of the armed forces, thinking that it was the most glamorous job. Asked if she would have chosen to be in the army if she was not an actress, Nimrat told IANS in a recorded response, "Yes, in fact as a kid that was the only thing I wanted to do. I wanted to grow up and be an army officer because I used to see my father put on the uniform and leave for work everyday and I thought there was no other better profession in the world because you got to wear a gorgeous uniform, had shiny ranks on and your shoes were shining everyday.
"I thought this was just the best, most glamorous job on this planet until I grew up and realised how difficult it actually was. So, yes maybe if I was not an actor, I would have definitely been in the army."
