No matter how much we find it cringeworthy to accept the new normal, many are adapting it. As they say, the show must go on, and yes, even during this dire situation, people managed to go ahead with their lives, taking all the necessary precautions as suggested by the government. One such team filming as soon as the lockdown was lifted, was Zombivli. A horror-comedy, starring Amey Wagh, Vaidehi Parshurami and Lalit Prabhavalkar, shares a story of zombies who attack the city, which changes the life of a middle-class couple, Sudhir and Seema.

In an interview with mid-day.com, Vaidehi Parashurami shared what it was like to shoot during the unlock phase, working with a fun team for a horror film, and what did she come across as she shot for this, despite being scared of ghosts convincingly.

When questioned how it was on the sets where she was surrounded by zombies, the actress was quick to reply, "I am extremely scared of ghosts or horror films. I don't think I have ever watched a horror film in the theatres. When I was told I have to do a zombie film, I was quite scared because I didn't know how I was going to deal with it on set. We have had a fantastic makeup team, so I quite distinctly remember when I saw the zombies on set for the first time I freaked out! I actually freaked out but as I said the makeup team it's commendable how they managed to do what they did with the zombies and it created a real impact. So, it only helped me perform better because I had to be scared of them."

Vaidehi Parashurami had entirely different struggles to fight as she shot for something which took time for her to get into the skin of the character. "I had to mentally prepare myself before going on set because I knew what I was going to deal with. So the preparation mainly involved as I said it is not a very common genre, horror-comedy is what we were dealing with. That was one of the most important things that I had to keep in my mind when I was doing this because nothing can look artificial. It had to look real, it had to look convincing."

The actress' shoot-days were not a bed of roses, but the actress had a great time working with an enthusiastic team, Zombivli. "I have been very fortunate that we have a director like Aditya Sarpotdar who visualises stuff differently and who took us together with him on this crazy ride called Zombivli and we've had fun dealing with it and of course, I cannot miss mentioning my fantastic co-stars Amey Wagh, Lalit Prabhakar in the main lead and apart from that also Trupti Khamkar and there is a huge star cast and everybody has been so helpful everybody has been so supportive and I think we just clicked all of us the entire team."

As we know what 2020 was like, Vaidehi and her entire team took all the necessary precautions to complete the shoot amidst a pandemic outbreak. "All credits to my directors, my co-stars and yes, of course, my production team as well because we shot in these weird times that we are dealing with and unlock had just started and we started shooting for it and we were the first one's I think who went on floors with the film. And we had to take all possible care, we had to take all the precautionary measures, we had to test ourselves continually to make sure nobody fell sick so yeah it was quite crazy and quite fun."

Directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, Zombivli is all set to hit the theatres on April 30, 2021.
