Nayanthara empowers women

Nayanthara remains a strong influence in cinema, both on and off the screen, inspiring women to break societal barriers and embrace their strength. From her debut in Bollywood alongside Shah Rukh Khan to her 75th film "Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food," she consistently selects roles that empower women and challenge stereotypes.

Nayanthara highlighted the significance of depicting strong women characters in her movies during a recent interview with GQ magazine, “Portraying empowered women who choose to defy social stigmas is not just a creative choice, but also a personal commitment to amplifying voices that are often overlooked or silenced,” she said.

In recent times, Nayanthara has shifted her focus from mainstream films to supporting and acting in movies with social themes. In 2017, she portrayed a district collector in "Aramm," followed by a crime comedy "Kolamaavu Kokila" in 2018, and a police officer in "Imaikkaa Nodigal" the same year. Her latest film, "Annapoorani: The Goddess of Food," featured her as an aspiring chef. Her upcoming projects, "Test" and "Mannangatti Since 1960," will continue to reflect her dedication to socially relevant stories.

Nayanthara and Vignesh’s separation rumours

Earlier, Nayanthara was in the news due to seperation rumours. The couple sparked separation rumours last month after the actress posted a cryptic message on her Instagram. Nayanthara took to her Instagram stories and shared a quote that read, 'She's gonna forever say 'I got this' even with tears in her eyes.' Soon after, the speculation surrounding their wedding caught fire,  Nayanthara dismissed all the reports by posting cute pictures with her husband.

According to reports in Hindustan Times, a source shared, “Contrary to the reports, the couple is not going through a tough time. Instead, they are going strong and enjoying, as well as cherishing, every moment spent with their kids—Uyir and Ulagam—who have brought them closer in so many ways.”

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan met while working on the 2015 film, ‘Naanum Rowdy Dhaan,’ which the latter had helmed. The two had reportedly been dating since and finally tied the knot on June 9, 2022. The couple also became parents to twin sons Uyir and Ulag in October last year via surrogacy. On the work front, Nayanthara was most recently seen in the megastar Shah Rukh Khan starrer 'Jawan.'
