Odisha girl Shreya Lenka in race to be K-pop idol from India

The 18 year old Odisha girl is in the last tryout round that will decide whether she gets chosen to join the K-pop group, Black Swan

Shreya Lenka, an 18 year old from Odisha has made it to the last tryout round that will decide whether she gets chosen to join the K-pop group, Black Swan. She will be competing with Brazil's Gabriella Dalcin, for the position. 


From the 4,000 members of Blackswan's worldwide tryout looking for a fifth member, two have been shortlisted. India's Shreya and Gabriella from Brazil are moving to South Korea where they will prepare for a month before the result is declared. Shreya  also known as Sriya is  vocalist, and yoga master from Jharsuguda, Odisha. She is learning Korean as that will be a basis that the two finalists will be decided on, aside from their abilities 


Blackswan is a South Korean girl group formed by DR Music formerly known as Rania and BP Rania, that debuted on October 16, 2020 with the full album Goodbye Rania. The group consists of Youngheun, Fatou, Judy, and Leia. A fifth member, Hyeme, left the group on November 10, 2020.
