Francis is interested to discuss how the church is perceived by Western media influencers, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The Vatican, which is said to be working with the non-profit Varkey Foundation, came up with a list of Hollywood players to invite to a summit of sorts.
Film and television producer Brian Grazer, semi-retired supermogul David Geffen and American talent agent Ari Emanuel also scored invites, the magazine quoted sources as saying.
