Vijay Sethupathi and SRK's bromance:
He spoke highly of Shah Rukh Khan's magnetic appeal, stating, "Don't ask me! Sir has seen so much success. First of all, I didn't expect so much love on the first day of release in Chennai. So many people called me and said that they couldn't get the tickets for the first day first show. People love him (SRK) so much. His name is enough. Everybody loves him so much. The way he treats people, he gives only love. There is nothing less, nothing more. If somebody has written Shah Rukh Khan, you can go and hug that name also. That's all. And I love you sir."
In response to this heartfelt admiration, Shah Rukh Khan playfully remarked, "I love you more back, sir! I think after the press conference, if I may propose to you and we can marry now, sir." Vijay Sethupathi, with a smile, concurred, saying, "There's nothing wrong, sir. Love you."
Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan said that he and his director Atlee fooled actress Deepika Padukone into thinking that her role was a cameo in 'Jawan'. Speaking to the media on Friday, SRK said: "I would like to mention that I and Atlee sir fooled Deepika into believing that her role was of a special appearance in the film aur humne uske saath poori picture shoot kar li"
The actor also narrated an incident when he decided that Deepika should be a part of the film. He shared with the media that he thought of adding Deepika to 'Jawan' cast while the song 'Besharam Rang' from 'Pathaan' was being filmed. He told the media: "I looked at her, she was looking all dazzling and while looking at her, I thought, 'Ye maa ka role karegi kya?' I then asked Pooja, my manager to ask Deepika if she would do the part and within 5 minutes she said yes"
Learning that she was tricked into doing the whole film, Deepika said: "Whatever it is, I will always work in anything that SRK asks me to because we share a special bond since I started my career opposite him in 'Om Shanti Om'. And as for the switch from the sultry look in 'Pathaan' to the role of a mother in 'Jawan', I don't think any actor would think like how they would look in a certain role after doing a certain kind of role."

Mera toh jawaab hi nahi: SRK
Shah Rukh Khan said, "Very seldom we get an opportunity that we live with a film for so many years. The film has been in the making for 4 years. There are so many people who shifted to Mumbai and has been living here for the last 4 years. So many people had children here, including our director Atlee. I want to give you to give the technicians the loudest cheer. Mera toh jawab hi nahi! The film’s actual heroes are the technicians who have been working on the film for 4 years. They have worked very very hard"

Atee's love letter to SRK
When Atlee was asked about his reaction to the record-breaking numbers of the film, he said, "I am a different director. To say it in one word, the day I met Shah Rukh sir, we decided to work together and bring a film for everyone. I remember writing love letters in our teenage days on plain white sheets. 'Jawan' is my love letter to SRK sir." To this, Shah Rukh replied: "I am always hungry for love. I live for love and this love letter has made me go overboard."
Nayanthara's special message
While Nayanthara couldn't be present at the 'Jawan' press conference, she made her presence felt with a video message. Wishing the media, she said that she wished she could be there. She said she was overwhelmed with the love and support and that it meant the world. She also thanked Shah Rukh Khan and said his energy was fabulous
Sanya Malhotra said yes without listening to the narration:
"I want to share that I didn't even listen to the film's narration." She then told the film's director Atlee: "I'm so sorry Atlee sir but I got overwhelmed thinking about working with SRK sir in a film directed by a director of your stature."
In the film, Sanya essays the role of a vigilante and falsely convicted doctor who while performing her duty, is made a scapegoat in order to save the top-brass in the medical system after the death of children due to Encephalitis. She further mentioned: "I decided within 5 minutes into the narration that I'm doing the film. I zoned out during the narration thinking that I'm getting to a film with SRK sir"
What does 'Jawan' stand for? SRK reveals
Shah Rukh Khan explained what 'Jawan' means. He said, "Jawan in emotion, Jawan is an Indian soldier, Jawan is an Indian mother, Jawan is an Indian girl, Jawan is an Indian vigilante. And you have to understand that Jawan, many times, is very weak because he is all of us. And many times, he is ready for a fight. Jawan, is many times, wrong, but very-many times, he is also right. Jawan, sometimes, will live in the darkness, sometimes, Jawan will be the one who will be emitting the light. And finally, all of us, and every Indian is 'Jawan', who is upright. Please remember that."
Further adding, "Honestly, goodness, love and that's what the whole movie stands for"
SRK asked Jawan editor Ruben to chop his scenes:
Ruben recalled what Shah Rukh Khan told him when the film was on the edit table and required some scenes chopping. When the moderator asked Ruben how he felt when SRK told him to chop his scene and keep more of Vijay Sethupathi and the girls' scenes, the editor said, "For a star like Shah Rukh, he is the producer, he can take any control over the film. But he was very generous to say, ‘Please cut my scenes and please give it to the other actors, give it to the girls, give it to the villain.’ He wanted more scenes of the villain.”
The Grand Comeback:
During the interaction, the superstar addressed his 3-year-long break from films and returning with Pathaan earlier this year. He recalled how his elder son Aryan and daughter Suhana motivated him to make a comeback and work harder than before. Shah Rukh said, "I have not worked for a long time. I take everything positively. I was very nervous since I hadn't worked for a long time. Returning to a film set after 3 years itself was very new. I was feeling different. The whole thing was my elder son Aryan told me, "We knew when we were growing up what stardom in the air feels like because your films were hits." The daughter (Suhana) said, "I know it too". They said, "But the little one (AbRam) knows you are a star but never seen or felt it in the air. So, for the next 5 films, please work very hard, and make him feel it in the air. He'll love you, and respect you."
