Sonakshi Sinha engaged in playful banter with her young fan. For the event, Sonakshi looked mesmerising in her orange pantsuit. In Mission Mangal, Sonakshi will be seen playing an independent scientist who knows innovation at its best.
Nithya Menen graced the show in her beautiful grey dress. Nithya, who has established herself as a leading actress in South India will be making her Hindi debut with the movie. She will be seen playing the role of Varsha Pillai, the woman behind the name M.O.M: Mars Orbiter Mission.
Akshay Kumar was too happy to be reunited with her Dil Toh Pagal Hain co-star Madhuri Dixit (evident from the picture). For the promotions, Akshay opted for a white sweatshirt which he paired with cargo pants. While Madhuri looked stunning in her pink saree, which she teamed up with a temple neckpiece.
Akshay wasn't the only one who got to see the fun side of Madhuri. Taapsee Pannu, who plays the character of a passionate Comms Specialist, recreated some of the scenes of Madhuri's film Hum Aapke Hai Koun. The cult film recently celebrated 25 years of its release. Sharing a few pictures on her Instagram handle, Taapsee wrote, "25 years of Hum Aapke Hai Kaun and what a perfect day to meet this beautiful woman who has given us".
Mission Mangal is an inspiring tale based on India's first mission to Mars, accomplished by a team of scientists at India's Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The sci-fi film also celebrates women power. In an interview, director Jagan Shakti said that, "This film is inspired by the picture of women in sarees and gajras looking thrilled at the mission's launch".
For Vidya Balan being a part of this project is a 'proud moment' for her. "I felt this story needed to be told. We Indians do not wear our pride on our sleeves for our country and I am glad that more films are being made that make us aware of what a great nation we are. We had so much fun while working on it that Jagan Shakti (director) had a tough time giving us directions", Vidya said.
