About Suhani Bhatnagar's untimely death

Suhani Bhatnagar, known for playing young Babita Phogat in the movie Dangal, passed away at the age of 19 due to complications from dermatomyositis. Her parents shared the details of her health struggles. Two months before her death, she experienced swelling in her hands, which later spread throughout her body. Despite consulting multiple doctors, the autoimmune disorder remained unidentified until she was admitted to AIIMS.

At AIIMS, she was diagnosed with dermatomyositis, a rare autoimmune disease, and was treated with steroids. However, the treatment weakened her immune system, making her susceptible to infections. During her hospitalization, she contracted an infection that led to complications with her lungs, causing fluid buildup and breathing difficulties.

As per Pinkvilla, Suhani's father shared, "Even after putting her on a ventilator, her oxygen level was very low, and then yesterday evening at 7 pm, the AIIMS doctors said, 'she is not more,'"

Despite being on a ventilator, her oxygen levels remained low, and she passed away at 7 pm the day before. Suhani's parents expressed their pride in her academic achievements and her ambition to return to acting after completing her journalism and mass communication graduation.
