Priyanka Chopra Jonas reached Mumbai during the wee hours of Friday. She will be attending the Jio MAMI Mumbai Festival. The actress is the chairperson of MAMI. Priyanka will be hosting a masterclass during the festival on Sunday. MAMI Film Festival will be held at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre.


Ahead of the MAMI Film Festival 2023, Priyanka landed in Mumbai. At the airport, the actress interacted with the paparazzi. She greeted them with a namaste and spoke to them in Hindi. While clicking pictures and videos of her, a paparazzo apparently tumbled. Expressing concern, Priyanka said, "Girna mat (don't fall)." Jio MAMI Mumbai Film Festival will take place from Friday, October 27 to Sunday, November 5, 2023, in Mumbai. Mani Ratnam and Luca Guadagnino will be honoured with the Excellence in Cinema Award today. The film festival will showcase over 250 films across 70 languages from 70 countries, along with 40 World Premieres, 45 Asia Premieres, and 70+ South Asia Premieres—the festival has curated the best of world cinema.

The films to watch at the MAMI Film Festival include Kareena Kapoor Khan's The Buckingham Murders, Aparshakti Khurana-Ishwak Singh's Berlin, Manoj Bajpayee's Joram, Anurag Kashyap's Kennedy, Aku wa Sonzai Shinai (Evil Does Not Exist), Nu aștepta prea mult de la sfârșitul lumii (Do Not Expect Too Much from the End of the World), Kaibutsu (Monster), Los delincuentes (The Delinquents), Anatomie d'une chute (Anatomy of a Fall), The Pot-au-Feu by Trần Anh Hùng, Orlando, ma biographie politique (Orlando, My Political Biography), Zielona Granica (Green Border), Perfect Days, Afire, Kadib Abyad (The Mother of All Lies), Magyarázat mindenre (Explanation for Everything), Ser Ser Salhi (City of Wind), Agra, The Monk and the Gun, Strange Way of Life, The Old Oak and The New Boy.

The Buckingham Murders will be opening Jio MAMI Mumbai Festival 2023 tonight. The film directed by Hansal Mehta is co-produced by Ekta Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan, who also stars in the film. It will be screened at the NMACC (Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre), following a successful World Premiere at the 67th BFI London Film Festival.
