Kangana Ranaut condoles Puneeth Rajkumar's demise; calls it a 'big loss'

Kannada superstar Puneeth Rajkumar passed away on October 29 at the age of 46 after suffering a cardiac arrest. The actor's untimely demise shocked the entire film fraternity. Messages of condolence and grief started pouring in on social media as soon as news of his death broke. Celebrities like Sonu Sood, Siddharth, Mahesh Babu, Dulquer Salman, Chiranjeevi Konidela, Raj & DK, Vivek Oberoi, Hansika Motwani, Boney Kapoor, R Madhavan, Amitabh Bachchan and many others expressed their sorrow on social media.


Kangana Ranaut, too, expressed her shock over the news, and shared a video on her Instagram story and wrote 'Big loss' along with folded hands emojis. The video is of the late Puneeth Rajkumar from an event.


A couple of days ago, Amitabh Bachchan too tweeted about Puneeth Rajkumar's death and wrote a note on his blog about it. "Puneet Rajkumar, the younger son of the legendary icon of Kanada cinema, Raj Kuma, and a star in his own right, passed away today.. he was just 46 years, and this has put all of us in great shock.. the family of late RajKumar have ever been extremely close.. My prayers condolences.. (sic)," Big B wrote on his blog.


Colloquially known as Appu, Puneeth was referred to as 'Powerstar' by his fans and the media. Puneeth was six-months-old when he was featured in the Kannada films Premada Kanike, and Aarathi. Puneeth made his film debut as the male lead in the film Appu in 2002. Since then, there was no looking back for this popular actor. Son of the legendary Kannada cine idol Rajkumar, Puneeth was one of the most-loved actors in the South film industry.
