Sai Tamhankar believes she is living in the golden era of Indian cinema, where lines between regions and languages are blurred and actors across the country enjoy equally exciting opportunities and fandom. The Marathi star, who has broken out as a pan-India actor post Mimi (2021), has already shot for two projects—the Emraan Hashmi-starrer Ground Zero and Excel Entertainment’s Agni, alongside actors Pratik Gandhi, of Scam 1992 fame, and Saiyami Kher.

While she is not permitted to divulge details of her upcoming projects, sharing screen space with Gandhi has been a revelation for Tamhankar. “I love actors who know their job. Pratik is extremely subtle, composed, and a wonderful actor. Despite all the success [he has received], he is grounded. Having a background in theatre speaks volumes of how he approaches his work,” says the actor, mighty impressed with her co-star. Tamhankar has also been roped in as a host for a docuseries titled, Postcards from Maharashtra, where she will take viewers on an experiential journey of food, culture, architecture in the state.
