Veteran actress Hema Malini finally watched Sunny Deol-starrer 'Gadar 2' which has been taking Indian audiences by storm ever since its release. After viewing the movie in a Mumbai theatre, she shared her perspective with the media. Hema Malini lauded the performances, especially that of Sunny Deol.

When asked about her opinion on the film, Hema said that it transported her to the era of '70s and '80s Bollywood. In a video shared by a popular paparrazo account, she shared that she appreciated the patriotism that the film attempted to instill in its viewers and felt that the portrayal of unity and brotherhood towards the Muslim community was beautifully depicted.
"Gadar dekh kar aayi hun. Bohut hi accha laga. Jo expected tha waese hi tha. Bohut hi interesting hai. Aesa lag raha tha ki 70s aur 80s ka us zamane ka film k jaesa ek daur hai." She continued praising the direction by stating, "Anil Sharma ji ne bohut beautiful direction kiya hai." On the performances, she noted, "Sunny is superb. Utkarsh, Anil Sharma ji's son unhone ne bhi bohut sundar acting kiya hai. Jo nayi ladki hai, woh bhi bohut acchi hai."
She also highlighted the message the film delivered, "It's a nice message for India and Pakistan."

Elegantly attired in a pink top, black trousers, and adorned with a colorful scarf, Hema's nostalgia for the film's setting was evident. She was blown away by the electric chemistry between Tara Singh and Sakina and also expressed her admiration for not just the storyline and performances, but also film's musical compositions, concluding her review by simply saying, "It's a wonderful film."mentioning, "Bohot achha laga. 22 saal k baad bhi dono bohot hi sundar laag raha hain, bohot achha kaam kiya hai." She concluded her simple and heartfelt review of 'Gadar 2' by saying that 'it's a nice film.'
Celebrating the successful launch of 'Gadar 2', Esha Deol also arranged a special screening of the movie in Mumbai recently. Both Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol were present, gracing the occasion with their presence.
'Gadar 2,' which stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, has been a box office sensation, grossing over ₹300 crore in India. Directed by Anil Sharma and produced under the banner of Zee Studios, the film released on August 11. Set in 1971, it chronicles Tara Singh's (Sunny's character) quest to rescue his son, Charanjeet Singh (Utkarsh Sharma), from the Pakistani Army. The narrative of its predecessor was set during the 1947 partition of India.
