It seems strange that when F3, the third instalment of a Telugu comedy franchise is nearing release, the remake rights of its predecessor, F2, have been acquired by Boney Kapoor. He is planning the adaptation with Anees Bazmee at the helm. Anil Ravipudi, the writer-director of the original series is reportedly keen to direct the Hindi adaptation of F3 and has conveyed the same to producer Dil Raju. Moreover, he also has a wish list of actors for it. Apparently, Ravi would like either Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan to reprise Venkatesh’s role and for Varun Tej’s part, he has Varun Dhawan and Kartik Aaryan in mind. That shouldn’t be difficult, since F3’s lead actor Venkatesh is working with Salman on Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali and producer Dil Raju is backing Kartik’s Shehzada. Now, it remains to be seen who Boney and Anees rope in for their F2 remake.

Pooja’s new lucky charm

Talking of Salman Khan, the actor’s next production, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali went on floors yesterday. It seems he has shared his lucky charm with his leading lady in Farhad Samji’s directorial venture. Pooja Hegde showed off her firoza bracelet, which seems to be gifted by her hero and producer. Sharing a picture on social media, she wrote, “Shoot begins,” with a wink emoji. Samajhdaar ko ishaara kaafi hai.

Karan Johar, who recently launched his designer jewellery brand, opened the doors of his luxe restaurant, Neuma, last night. Arjun Kapoor and Malaika Arora were the first guests at their filmmaker friend’s new venture. Housed in a former Portugese villa in Colaba, the restaurant has multiple dining areas called Sun Porch, the Garden Café, The Courtyard, Blanc, Verde and The Nautica Room. The fine-dining property also has a Rose Bar to sip your drink in a red-light setting and all velvet sitting.

Bond, gals bond

Bond, gals bond

Earlier the common notion in Bollywood was that two heroines can’t be friends. However, that archaic thought has no place today. Sample Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra Jonas’s friendship. Their camaraderie will be on full display in their collaboration, Jee Le Zaraa, Farhan Akhtar’s next directorial venture that also stars Alia Bhatt. Kat and hubby Vicky Kaushal, who are currently holidaying in New York, checked into PCJ’s restaurant. All praise, she shared an image on social media, saying, “Home away from home — Sona New York. Loved the vibe — Priyanka Chopra as always everything you do is just amazing.” The Matrix actor replied, “Love you honey! So glad you guys could make it. Sona New York welcomes you anytime... #homeawayfromhome.” We like this bonding.

Sudha’s double surprise

Sudha’s double surprise

After 35 years of being an actor, Sudha Chandran gets to play a double role. Interestingly, the actor, who is shooting for Naagin 6, wasn’t even aware that she was essaying two roles in the serial. “The costume designer sent me a message saying that these are Seema’s mother’s sarees and I said that maybe you have sent these to me by mistake as I am playing Seema. She said that I am playing a double role and I was taken aback as nobody told me about it,” recalls Sudha. The actor, who plays an adivasi woman Tara and her daughter, Seema, in the show, has ensured she not only looks distinct in the two characters, but also plays them differently. She sums up saying, “The challenging part in playing a double role is that the mannerisms have to be different, especially when you are in the same frame. The fun part is seeing yourself play the two characters!”

Karan’s house khaas finalised

It seems after months of searching, Karan Kundrra has finalised his dream home. The actor has bought a sprawling 4 BHK in a Bandra highrise and completed the registration formalities recently. The swanky sea-facing apartment is said to have its own swimming pool, gym and a barbecue pit too. That’s not all, with a wrap-around balcony, the swanky apartment offers an open view of the Arabian Sea from every nook and corner, including the kitchen area.

Sanjay Dutt, who is soaking in the success of his latest, KGF: Chapter 2, recently opened up about his family shifting base to Dubai. Talking about wife Maanayata and children Shahran and Iqra living in the desert emirate for two years, the actor reportedly said that it wasn’t planned. “Maanayata was doing her business there, it clicked and the kids went with her,” Sanju has said. Their children love the school and the activities in Dubai. As and when he gets time off from work, he also makes it a point to spend quality time with them. “I fly in and out. I will be with them during their summer break. I will go wherever they are,” the actor has been quoted as saying. Baba, as the 62-year-old actor is affectionately called, concluded saying his children’s happiness is above everything else for him.
