Wedding bells
Ankita Lokhande ties the knot with businessman beau Vicky Jain next month. The couple is sending out save-the-date messages to near and dear ones for their wedding in the second week of December. There had been buzz that the two were planning to get hitched before the year-end. It is said to be a three-day affair with the who’s who of the television world in attendance for the Pavitra Rishta star.

The Telugu star, who was seen in the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer The Family Man 2, is under consideration for a film backed by Taapsee Pannu’s production house. The makers feel the female-centric thriller is the perfect launchpad. Ever since she parted ways with husband Naga Chaitanya, there has been speculation about her moving to Mumbai.
COVID-19 cases halt shooting
The shooting of Janhit Mein Jaari, starring Nushrratt Bharuccha, ground to a halt on Monday after four crew members tested positive for COVID-19. The unit had been shooting in Gwalior since October 26. Jai Bantu Singh’s quirky comedy will roll again after the 14-day quarantine.
Kundra goes off social media
While Shilpa Shetty is back in her elements on social media, husband Raj Kundra has deleted his Twitter and Instagram accounts. The Insta-savvy businessman would often share funny videos featuring himself and Shetty to regale netizens. Ever since he was arrested in a pornography case in July and was released after spending almost two months in jail, Kundra stayed away from social media. He has also not made any public appearances. On Monday, Shetty kicked off November by posting, “It’s the first day of the second last month of the year. I decided to start the day, week, and month with yoga.”
Another day, another film
There’s no stopping Kangana Ranaut. As soon as she wrapped up the actioner Tejas, she dived into Tiku Weds Sheru. On Monday, she unveiled her look in the romantic-comedy alongside Nawazuddin Siddiqui. While shooting with celebrity photographer Jatin Kampani, she reminisced about her first portfolio he shot, which landed her a break in Gangster (2006) “because Anurag Basu [director] loved his image.”
Back home
Rajinikanth has been discharged from the hospital and is on the road to recovery. The South icon shared a health update through daughter Soundarya’s app, Hoote. His message read, “The treatment is over. I am alright and back home.” He was rushed to Kauvery Hospital in Chennai on October 28 after he complained of giddiness. The Thalaiva is now gearing up for the release of Annaatthe.
It’s time to roast husbands
Priyanka Chopra Jonas caught up with sisters-in-law, Sophie Turner and Danielle Jonas, at the shoot of Jonas Brothers Family Roast in Los Angeles. The comedy, featuring Joe, Nick and Kevin Jonas, drops on Netflix later this month. Billed as a celebration of “the universal truth that no one can get under your skin quite like your own family”, it will feature sketches, songs, games and special guests to tease the brothers about their lives, work, exes, marriages and babies. PeeCee’s father-in-law Paul Kevin Jonas Sr is also on board.
Sush bani bua
On Monday, Sushmita Sen’s brother Rajeev and wife Charu Asopa welcomed a baby girl. “Lakshmi arrives just before Diwali. I was blessed to witness it. What a beauty she is. Bua ki jaan. I am not allowed to share baby pictures yet,” wrote the actor while sharing the news of the latest addition to the family. She added that all the three grandchildren in the Sen household are girls. “We are blessed indeed,” Sush posted. Rajeev informed, “Charu is doing fine. I am proud of my wife for being strong right till the end. Thank you all for your prayers. Thank you God.”
