Katrina Kaif has begun work on the long-in-the-planning Merry Christmas to coincide with the festival. Sriram Raghavan’s directorial venture got underway at a suburban studio. It marks Kat’s first assignment post her big fat wedding. Raghavan’s name is synonymous with thrillers, and Merry Christmas has its share of twists and turns. The film, also starring Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi, was to roll in Pune earlier this year but was delayed due to the second wave of the pandemic. The odd combination of Kat, Raghavan and Sethupathi arouses curiosity.


Sensuous moves in trouble



Sunny Leone’s new music video, Madhuban, is facing the heat for hurting religious sentiments. What has irked a section of netizens are the inappropriate moves Leone makes in the track, particularly on the line, Nache Madhuban mein Radhika. As the song is about Radha and Krishna, detractors are not okay with Leone’s gyrations in the number rendered by Kanika Kapoor.

Mr Jhakaas in the house

On Friday, to mark Anil Kapoor’s 65th birthday, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone welcomed him on board Fighter. The aerial action thriller, helmed by Siddharth Anand, was announced earlier this year. Roshan could not hide his excitement about teaming up with “the man who gets younger each year”.  After working as an assistant on the sets of Kapoor’s films, to sharing the screen with him, Roshan is “super excited.”

Bebo negative

On Friday, Kareena Kapoor Khan tested negative for Covid-19. She shared the news in an Instagram post and thanked husband Saif Ali Khan for “being patient while locked in a hotel room away from family”. Bebo informed that sister Karisma Kapoor had been “the anchor” through the nightmare. The actor wished a Merry Christmas and requested everyone to stay safe. “Have to kiss my babies [Taimur and Jehangir] like never before,” Bebo added.

Playing Secret Santa

The unit of Dhadkan Zindaggi Kii soaked in the festivities on the set of the show in Naigaon. Lead actors Additi Gupta, Alma Hussain, Rohit Purohit and Vidyut Xavier organised a Secret Santa, which proved to be a memorable experience for unit hands. “My wish for everyone is to enjoy the holidays and may it be filled with peace, warmth, love and light. I want everyone to forget the calories and indulge in the yummy Christmas delicacies and treats,” said Purohit, who plays Dr Vikrant Sinha in the medical drama.

Ready for fast-paced action

Telugu actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu will feature alongside Varun Dhawan in the Indian version of Russo Brothers’ web series, Citadel. The show, helmed by the director duo Raj and DK, marks Dhawan’s digital debut. Prabhu had teamed up with Raj and DK for the second season of The Family Man. Seeing her ace the action sequences in the Manoj Bajpayee-starrer, she has been roped in for the high-octane drama. The international version of the espionage thriller stars Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Game of Thrones star Richard Madden.

Waiting for Santa Claus

Esha Deol Takhtani’s home has been given a festive touch  for Yuletide. Daughters Radhya and Miraya helped mommy dearest decorate the Christmas tree. “My little ones are fascinated about it and thinking about what gifts Santa would bring for them. It’s that time of the year,” the actor wrote. She added that hiding the Christmas gifts under the tree “is a huge task” with two kids around.
