A week after Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao announced their separation, pictures of the two from the set of 'Laal Singh Chaddha' are doing the rounds of social media. It is said that their joint statement has had no effect on the shooting schedule in Ladakh. They appear happy to be working together. Naga Chaitanya is the latest to join the unit. As part of his look, the Telugu actor is sporting a short haircut, a moustache and a lean physique. In May, Khan had visited the mountainous region for a recce. This is the last outdoor schedule of Advait Chandan's directorial venture, which wraps up later this month.


Remembering the thespian

Shabana Azmi, who was among the first to reach Dilip Kumar's home to pay her last respects to the thespian, shared a throwback picture on Friday. It featured the late legend and Sharad Pawar.  “During the Mumbai riots,” Azmi captioned the picture. With files in hand, the two appear to have had some important discussions with the politician.

Remaking a thriller

Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra

Sanya Malhotra and Rajkummar Rao will feature in the remake of the Telugu film, Hit (2020). The mystery thriller tells the story of a cop, who is on the trail of a missing woman. South star Nani's production featured Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead. Sailesh Kolanu, who helmed the original, will also direct the Hindi version.

On Friday, to mark Shatrughan and Poonam Sinha's 41st wedding anniversary, children, Luv, Kussh and Sonakshi, had a special gift for them. The 
trio launched an online platform, House of Creativity, to promote Indian artists and their works. Sona, who studied designing, loves to sketch and paint. She often shares her artworks on social media. Last year, the actor had auctioned some of them to help daily wage workers hit hard by the pandemic. Says Kush, “Without the beauty of art, the world would be a blank canvas, devoid of creativity. We want to support emerging artists, and create a global platform for them to showcase their work.”

After winning accolades for playing Balram Halwai in The White Tiger, Adarsh Gourav returns to the scene with the second season of Hostel Daze. The Amazon Prime Video web series follows the exploits of four friends in an engineering college. Ahsaas Channa, Ayushi Gupta, Luv Vispute, Nikhil Vijay and Shubham Gaur feature in key roles alongside Gourav. “End-semester mein toh lag gayi, but nothing can stop us from coming back to the hostel,” wrote Gourav while announcing the new season.

Jimmy Shergill

Jimmy Shergill has played a cop in at least a dozen films. He still gets plenty of offers to be in uniform, picking and choosing the roles, which can be portrayed in a different light. Dnyanesh Zoting's film, Collar Bone, which drops on Disney+Hotstar sees him back as a policeman. “It is the first project I shot post the pandemic so it has been a special experience for me,” says Shergill. 

Furry love

Amitabh Bachchan

Amitabh Bachchan is enjoying the company of canines on the set of Vikas Bahl's Goodbye. “My new companion on set... cozy and comfortable in my arms,” posted Big B. The veteran superstar was keen to take the furball to Jalsa but could not. “I almost wanted to defy the family decision not to get any more pets because they die. I wanted to bring her home to convince her presence but then domestic protocols need attention,” added Bachchan. Last month, when he began shooting for the film, he shared a picture with another pooch, who he referred to as ‘co-star'.  Looks like the canines are part of the film.

Sunny Leone took to Instagram to share her latest style quotient. ­She posted a  picture with a bicycle and wrote, “When it's finally crossed 100… you gotta take care of your health. Cycling is the new glam,” she wrote. The actor is a cycling enthusiast but the escalating petrol and diesel prices have made Leone see the funny side of it. Will the new petroleum minister Hardeep Singh Puri take note of her post?
