Ananya Panday
Ananya Panday is counting the days to the digital premiere of Gehraiyaan, which also stars Deepika Padukone, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa. While she is thrilled to have a Shakun Batra film on her résumé, the actor has another biggie in Zoya Akhtar’s production, Kho Gaye Hum Kahan. Soon, she will turn her attention to the project that marks the directorial debut of Arjun Varain Singh. “We will start shooting in March or April. It’s an honest, relatable and funny film,” says Panday of the movie that stars Adarsh Gourav of The White Tiger (2021) fame and Chaturvedi.

The first look of the film
Written by Akhtar, Reema Kagti and Singh, the story revolves around three friends in Mumbai who are lost in the world of screens. The actor believes the material will strike a chord with the current generation that is obsessed with social media. “When it comes to Farhan [Akhtar, producer] and Zoya, they [have a command over] coming-of-age films centred on friendship. Kho Gaye Hum Kahan has a social media aspect to it, which makes it relatable and interesting,” adds Panday.
