Ekta Kapoor doesn't believe in shying away from controversies and scandals. Her upcoming Global Indian Film & Television Honours (GIFTH) promises to be the most controversial award function of the year.
Balaji Telefilms Ltd, which is hosting the nation's first joint film and television awards event, will have Shah Rukh Khan performing India's top 10 controversies of 2010.

Says an insider, "SRK will be seen in the finale and his act will include taking off on each controversyu00a0The Niira Radia tapes, The Commonwealth Games fracas, the IPL controversy and a few controversies on some B-Town stars. The act will end in a huge burst of fireworks with SRK announcing something specially unique!"
Comfort factor
The award function is on February 12, but King Khan has yet to decide on the list. He wants to avoid certain highly sensitive scandals but Ekta is pressing him to do it.

Adds a source, "If Shah Rukh is not comfortable with the idea, then there isu00a0another option of taking off on the top 10 films of 2010 which includes Ekta's own Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai, Dabanng etc.

There's another possibility of building the act around the top 10 songs of 2010. But Ekta's heart is set on the top 10 controversies and she's hoping to persuade SRK to do it."

It is learnt that Shobhaa Kapoor is a huge Shah Rukh admirer and it is at her insistence that SRK is doing the finale.
