The beginning...

The Mutton boy has found his calling. Bollywood's newest entrant, Taaha Shah, who got quite a few appreciative nods (and even whistles for the Mutton song) in the recently released film Luv Ka The End, announces that he's here to stay. Even with a three-film deal with YashRaj Films under his Taekwondo belt, this action hero is keen on working with other filmmakers like Vidhu Vinod Chopra, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Farhan Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, as well. CS gets Taaha talking about his wishlist for his acting career:

Kick ass

After finishing my acting course with Kishore Namit Kapoor, I took up training in martial artsu00a0-- Taekwondo, Muay Thai, and Kick-Boxing. Parkour is my favourite and I practise it daily. In fact, I love action and would love to carry out stunts like jumping over cars or doing splits in the air and such. And though I like Sylvester Stallone's pure action films like Rocky, I don't want to do just an action film. I love what Jackie Chan does. His films have action with comedy. Even Jason Statham has a unique style, which I really like. Films like Jump Britain, a documentary show about Parkour, and B 13 are just amazing. I'd love to introduce the Indian audience to these action moves.

Dance dance
I'd love to be considered as a versatile actor, one who does comedy, drama and natural characters. In fact, I'm soon going to take lessons for break dancing. Moving your body to the beats drew me to dancing and I participated in funk jazz and contemporary dance. With break dancing, I'll have added something different to my talent. In fact, I'm glad I got to play an anti-hero in my first film, as I wanted to be different. My item number, the Mutton Song, was much appreciated. It was actually meant to be a joke in the film. We had shot just a minute's worth of scene with me in the ghagra choli. But when Adi sir (Aditya Chopra) saw it, he liked it so much that he decided to make it a full-fledged song and use it as a promotional tool as well. I had a blast doing it and left all my inhibitions at home as I did the latkas and jhatkas.

Time pass
I love to put my body to the test. I've excelled at long and high jumps, hurdle races and played a lot of football. I'm an adventure lover and have taken part in bungee jumping, paragliding, water rafting and the likes. In fact, I'm soon going to Dubai on a break and on my agenda is skydiving. And on the rare days when I'm not busy pursuing all my interests, I read up self-development books that teach you how to enhance your mind and personality.
