K Sera Sera's Mukti, which went on floors in October last year, is still stuck due to the unavailability of Sanjay Dutt's dates.
A source reveals "Sanjay Dutt signed Mukti last year and gave his dates immediately. Ajay Phansekar, who made Encounter is directing this multi-starrer, which mainlines Sanjay Dutt, Sunil Shetty, Shabana Azmi, Vinod Khanna, Jackie Shroff, and Urvashi Sharma." After Dutt confirmed the dates, the other actors were co-ordinated accordingly.
The source adds, "A 20-day schedule was shot in October and the next schedule was to be shot in January this year, but Dutt wasn't available, so the dates of all the artistes were wasted.
Now they want fresh dates from the actor, since they are combined scenes with other actors it is essential to get a commitment from Sanju first.
But that is not happening." And now the film is stuck. However the director is hopeful of shooting next month, "Hopefully, we'll have another schedule in April.
These are tentative dates, since we need to coordinate with Sanjay Dutt and other stars of the movie."
About the lack of Dutt's dates he says cautiously, "It is a huge star cast so we have to match a lot of dates with other stars. It is not only Sanju's dates but have to see other actors' availability too."
