The actor, convicted in the 1993 bomb blast case, has been released on parole from Yerwada jail in Pune. The star has been granted furlough for 14 days for medical treatment.
Dutt was flown in by a chopper from the prison and arrived at Kalina Gate 8 from where he immediately left for his Bandra residence. After meeting his family members, he later spoke to the media in his building compound.
Looking visibly thin and limping the star stated, “I respect the law of the land. I respect the honourable courts of India. I am a law-abiding citizen and will complete my parole and will report back.”
“I want to spend time with my family. Thanks to all my fans and I love my fans,” he added.
Dutt is said to be experiencing pain because of blood clots in his legs. He also suffers from high blood pressure.
His buddy Bunty Walia was seen visiting him yesterday.
