When the writer of the original 'Phoonk' Milind Gadagkar narrated the story of the sequel to RGV, the filmmaker entrusted him with the task of directing it as well.
Many actors of the previous film have been repeated in the sequel. Sudip, Amruta Khanvilkar, Ehsaas Chanana, Zakir Hussain, Niru Bajwa, Amit Saad are the cast members.
The film will be released in three languages. The Tamil version will be called "Bommai 2" and Telugu one will be called "Avaham".
