Kent Walwin blames his love for history on his nationality. The UK producer, whose historical productions include A Handful of Dust, Young Alexander and the Young Flying Tigers, believes that the English tend to cling too much to their past. He adds laughingly, "But I must say, we are also very good at presenting history."

Which is what brings Walwin to India. He's just been conferred the Dayawati Modi Award for Art, Culture and Education for 2009 and is also working on a new historical film (inspired by Satish Kumar Modi's book In Love With Death), Young Jesus: The Missing Years, which explores Jesus' possible stint in India and on a reality talent hunt on TV for actors to be cast in a film.

"The show will be like no other reality show. We'll be actually hunting for actors for a film we'll produce, so there will be very few contestants who will lose out," he enthuses.

Currently working on the pre-production on both the projects, Walwin admits that the success of Slumdog Millionaire has created a lot of international buzz for Bollywood.

"Slumdog turned out to be a fantastic crossover film. In its format, our show starts where Slumdog ended. That was about a show within a film, while our reality show will be a film unfolding within a TV show," he promises.
