There were reports that the "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" actor was approached to play Kalam on screen.

Asked about the same, Nawazuddin told reporters here that "I have not been offered the role yet but if it comes to me then it would a great thing. He is a very great personality. I would be happy to
play him on screen."

The actor was speaking at the trailer launch of his latest film, "Raman Raghav 2.0".

Nawazuddin last year starred in "Manjhi- The Mountain Man", a film based on the life of Dashrat Manjhi who dug through an entire mountain to build a road after his wife died unable to reach
hospital on time. Recently, a man from a village in Maharashtra dug a 40-feet well for his wife who was reportedly denied access to water.

When asked if he would love to do a movie based on his life, Nawazuddin said "this is a very interesting idea. Something should be made on this as well. This is a very inspiring story, of course."

Directed by Anurag Kashyap, "Raman Raghav 2.0" will be showcased at Cannes' Directors Fortnight section. The festival will open on May 11.

The film is scheduled to release on June 24.
