The singer lists his pick of flicks...
Sholay: It is a very special film for me. As a toddler, I went for the premiere and Amitabh Bachchan pulled my cheeks when my parents went up to him to say hello! Of course, except for me, my entire family remembers this! As a teenager I actually saw and understood the film. It is truly a classic.
Padosan: Each and every character from the film is still vividly alive in my head. The music by R D Burman was unbelievable. I specially love the singing contest that happens in Ek Chatur Naar where Kishore Kumar, a genius that he was, changes the scale of the song while singing and Mehmood's character is struggling and complaining about this!
Jo jeeta wohi sikander: It was my favourite teenage film and will remain so for how real it was. Aamir Khan's change from a irresponsible teenager to a hero was awesome. My sister and cousins would always put on JJWS whenever we hung out in every vacation.
Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron: It is one of those rare intelligent comedies that was ahead of its times. It's been ages since the film released but I see my teenage cousins laughing out loud watching it even now. Who can forget the classic Draupadi cheerharan scene and keep a straight face? The bar it set for comedy has not been reached by any other project so far!
Golmaal: It is a gem from Hrishikesh Mukherjee. All the characters in this film move with effortless ease. I specially remember Utpal Dutt. I became a fan of his after this movie.
