Kainaz waits for the rains

Kainaz Motivala seems to have everything going for her right now. She's just done with Ragini MMS and is already a media sweetheart. But the lady still has a few items on her wishlist. A good project tops that list and the rains are a close second. The actor, who is eagerly waiting for some respite from the hot Mumbai summer, tells CS why she has a love-hate relationship with the monsoons:

Who:Kainaz Motivala
What:Praying for the rains to come soon
Where:At Juhu

Making a splash
When I was in school, I just loved the rains. I would go around jumping in the puddles and picking up snails and bringing them home. I just had to get drenched in the first rain, and that annoyed my mom no end. Needless to say, I always fell sick the day after. But overtime, I've started finding the season a wee bit gloomy ufffd the sun's always playing hide-and-seek, it's all mucky outside and the traffic jams can drive you insane. But I love the rains on days when I'm at home and when I have the luxury of appreciating the beauty of the season from the other side of my window. These days, I'm hoping that the monsoons will hit our city soon because the heat is getting to me.

Rain dance
I hope I get a chance to shoot a Bollywood song in the rains one day. I think it would be a lot of fun to be running around trees, soaking wet from head to toe, yet somehow managing to see your hair fly and being chased by a handsome hero! You can't be a Bollywood actor and not film a rain song. It's something that you just need to have on your CV.

Stuck in a moment
I can never forget the 26/7 deluge. Like most Mumbaikars, I too was stuck in rains and had to wade through chest-deep water. It definitely was a scary experience, but the others on the road made it a little more bearable. We all made human chains by holding hands as we made our way to safer ground. It was fantastic seeing everyone rise to the occasion and help their fellow urbanites in whatever way possible. Some were distributing food, while others were just encouraging people by saying the right things. What could have turned out to be a horrendous memory for me, actually became one of the best memories of my life. But I hope that this year won't bring any such catastrophe.
