The pen is mightier than the sword. This was the thought that was celebrated in Inquilab's 74th Anniversary party held at Time & Again, Lokhandwala, Andheri (West).
Shahid Latif, the editor of Inquilab set the tone for the evening with his short but heartfelt speech that highlighted the need for progressive and informative journalism.u00a0

Renowned filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt who dropped in early spoke about his association with the paper.
Later on, the guests for the evening, which included agencies, clients and associates were treated to some soulful ghazals by Talat Aziz, including the classic Zindagi Jab Teri Bazm Mein from Umrao Jaan.
The best was reserved for the last when actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui of Gangs of Wasseypur, Kahaani and Talaash fame walked in as the chief guest for the evening.
Nawaz said, “I belong to Muzzafarnagar, UP and Inquilab is a known name there. In fact, my father regularly reads the paper and we had to get copies for him when he was recently in Mumbai.
I feel that Inquilab is a very contemporary paper that fits with the sentiments of the modern Muslim youth.” u00a0
