Amrita Rao has sworn off short dresses after her Britney Spears (or Shamita Shetty, if you like) moment at the music release of her film Victory. Little Bo Peep uncrossed her legs and showed more than she intended.

Of course, then the Rao family got busy calling editors requesting them to not carry the photographs. Now if you see Ms Rao dressed from head-to-toe, you know why.

But she should reconsider those dowdy gowns that look like something straight out of a C-grade film set. And sweetie, if you must, try opting for a Valentino, Carolina Herrera or Donna Karan instead.

CC2C invite for Big B

Amitabh Bachchan attended the London premiere of Akshay Kumar's comic caper Chandni Chowk To China (CC2C) yesterday.

Amitabh, who is in London for make-up tests for Balki's Pa, received an invitite from Akki over a phone call from Toronto. 'Akshay called at 5.30 am and said, 'CC2C is premiering at Leicester Square, London, on January 12.

I shall be honoured if you could come and join us.' I told him I shall,' Big B says in his blog on Sunday. Akshay warned him, 'Just don't bring your brains and thinking cap along.' London is the fourth destination of the international premieres of the Nikhil Advani-directed film.

It has already been showcased in Los Angeles, New York and Toronto. The film will then premiere in Dubai and Bangkok before its India release on Friday. Wonder if Akki and Deepika are sick of the
movie yet?

So, how many candles?

Nach Baliye couple Mohit Malik and beau Addite Shirwaikar had a reason to celebrate. It was Mohit's birthday and a bash was held on Sunday at Shatranj Napoli in Versova which was attended by small screen stars including Shilpa Shinde, Anupam Bhattacharya, Ali Hassan, Rashmi Desai, and Reshmi Ghosh.

There were also other Nach Baliye couples Indraneil-Barkha, Abhijeet Sawant-Shilpa, Mauli Ganguly-Mazhar and Sudeep Sahir- Anantika in attendance. Bet they danced the night away!

Bare-baar dekho

After all the actress daring to go bare for photo shoot of various magazines, we have Neetu Chandra who shot for some hot scenes. It was for the first time we saw the behenji getting so modern after her simple role in Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! It's nice to mix it up, eh?

Spotted

Our Versova birdie chirps to say that Minissha Lamba and Kunal Khemu, who are neighbours, were spotted by the poolside of their building on Sunday evening. They spoke for a while till a lot of prying eyes from the neighbouring buildings caused them to make an exit occupational hazards of being a star, eh!

Ameesha Patel with a couple of friends at Mount Mary church in Bandra. She was heard whispering to her friend about how she found the religious spot very powerful. However, the lady also believed in her own power of being recognised, as she was all covered up in a Disney hoodie jacket.

Weak memory?

Aamir Khan held a 'success party' for Ghajini on Monday night. Now that by itself shouldn't have raised eyebrows, but you see... it is his second. The actor seems to have forgotten that the first was held two days after the film released.

As one bitchy bird at the bash put it, "With SRK and Anil Kapoor being present at the Golden Globes and Akki globe-trotting with his premieres of CC2C, poor l'il Aamir's feeling left out. This is his way of telling them, tum bano ser overseas, I'll be savaaser at home!"

Pehchaan kaun?

Everyone cashed in on Taare Zameen Par except for Girija Oak who played the part of the young teacher at the school where Aamir Khan taught. As Girija was studying for her final year in biotechnology, she couldn't devote time to bask in the film's glory.

Incidentally, she was to debut in Subhash Ghai's Cycle Kick, directed by Shashi Sudigala (Nagesh Kukunoor's first assistant) but the project never saw the light of day. TZP was her second project.

Daughter of Marathi actor Girish Oak, she features in a Marathi film Chingy and an issue-based film Chanda apart from a South film Houseful. Now that she's completed her studies, acting beckons again. Anyone interested?
