Festive grandeur
I showcased my fall winter line of Indian festive wear at the fashion week recently. This collection also provides a preamble to my soon-to-be-launched bridal collection, which delves into the rich, textile heritage of India. Though India has embraced globalisation, including the fashion trends as well, traditional Indian wear is still much cherished and proudly worn.

And once again the inspiration for the bridal wear collection comes from Rajasthan. I have included fabrics like Bandhani, vegetable block prints along with Ikats and velvets. The delicate gold thread work from Jaipur, and the intricate gota patti work is fused with traditional, metallic patterns of the badla work, which sets the right sparkle for festive season.

Be it the lehenga or the evening gown, the whole look and feel of the collection is extremely feminine. It has been designed keeping in mind the modern urban Indian woman who has a global outlook, but an Indian perspective.

Weaving old with new
Through this collection, I have attempted to artistically blend heritage with modernity. And what better time to bring the collection, for we stand at the cusp of a long festive season. The entire collection is opulent yet exudes casual luxury with an understated elegance, which is what true fashion is all about.
