A still from Jack Ryan

Jack Ryan is a straight-to-series 8-episode drama, written and produced by Carlton Cuse and Graham Roland, co-produced with Paramount Television. Launching worldwide on August 31, the series is a modern take on the famed Tom Clancy hero. The first season follows Jack Ryan, an up-and-coming CIA analyst, who is thrust into a field assignment for the first time after uncovering a pattern in communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism threatening destruction on a global scale.

The show embodies a new breed of action-thriller rich in storytelling, deeply layered characters and palpable global stakes. Unlike the leads in the Mission: Impossible and Bourne titles, Jack Ryan is an unexpected hero who will do whatever it takes to stop the looming threat upon our world, all while being put into completely new situations with every move he makes. The appealing genre paired with a relatable and likeable new hero will be drivers for why customers worldwide will sample and binge Jack Ryan.
