Ajay Devgn and Keerthy Suresh wrap up the second schedule of Maidaan

Maidaan is based on the golden years of Indian football and will see Ajay Devgn play the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is also known as the father of Indian football.

Ajay Devgn and Keerthy Suresh, who recently started filming Amit Sharma's Maidaan, have wrapped up the second schedule of the film in Mumbai.


Ajay and Keerthy have shot together for the first time for the film. The film is also Keerthy's Bollywood debut. The actress is known for her work in south Indian cinema, which has made her one of the most sought-after actors. 


The makers of Maidaan shot an important football sequence and a huge set was built in Mukesh Mills in Mumbai. A VFX team was also got onboard and a sports choreographer from LA was called in to make sure that the football scene was perfectly filmed. The next schedule of the film will begin on November 3 in Kolkata.


Maidaan is based on the golden years of Indian football and will see Ajay Devgn play the role of the legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is also known as the father of Indian football for his achievements in making India a top nation in football during his lifetime.

Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Akash Chawla, and Arunava Joy Sengupta, the film is directed by Amit Sharma, and the screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadros and Ritesh Shah respectively.
