Smile Fest

Om Creations Trust hosted its inspiring event, Smile Fest, to empower individuals with disabilities by equipping them with skills to earn a dignified living and integrate better into society. Founded by Dr. Radhike Khanna, an award-winning pioneer in special education, the organisation has been a beacon of hope for countless individuals, promoting independence and creativity through specialised training.

The event showcased the incredible handmade creations of the beneficiaries, including crochet coasters, tie-and-dye bags, pottery, diya sets, chocolates, and more. Each product, crafted with care and passion, embodies the spirit of empowerment and resilience fostered by the trust.

A highlight of the event was the presence of actor Kush Shah, known for his role as "Goli" from Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. His visit brought immense joy to the students and teachers, who relished the opportunity to interact with one of their beloved TV stars. Shah engaged warmly with the attendees, posed for photos, and even introduced them to his co-stars virtually. Delighting in handmade chocolates gifted by the students, he expressed admiration for their talent and creativity.

The day also featured enlightening sessions led by industry experts. Siddhesh Ghosalkar conducted an interactive workshop on Artificial Intelligence, illustrating its applications in daily life and its potential to boost efficiency in various fields. Meanwhile, Ayan Ganguli, founder of Udanchooo Productions, hosted a session on marketing strategies, emphasising how storytelling and outreach could enhance the visibility of the participants' handmade products, inspiring others to support their journey.

Smile Fest was a testament to the transformative power of education, inclusion, and community support. It reinforced the belief that every individual, regardless of ability, has the potential to contribute meaningfully to society with the right guidance and opportunities.
