Rick Contreras
It is tough to believe that in the 21 century, after conquering great heights in all kinds of scientific inventions, mankind is still grappling for answers about what makes some people achieve their goals and others just give up and quit. Successful Entrepreneur Rick Contreras shares his views on this topic to shed more clarity on success, failure, and the attitude one needs to cultivate to navigate through life’s challenges.

According to Rick Contreras, it is one’s attitude that determines their destiny. Life throws challenges at everyone, says Rick, it doesn’t discriminate. It is how we approach these challenges that determine the outcome, he says. Here he calls out three key differentiators that separate those who are focused on their set goal and achieve it and those who give up.
Curiosity
Anything that we enjoy today is the result of someone’s curiosity, says Rick. If Newton weren’t curious about the falling apple, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to make progress in science as we have done today, he says. For Rick, curiosity is the necessary ingredient to begin the journey of exploration and achievement.
Planning
Another key differentiating factor between those who achieve their goals and those who don’t is the ability to plan. Those who have a clear vision to see far into the future are naturally driven to set a goal and make plans to achieve their goals, says Rick. Planning is the proof that one has faith in themselves and is focused on navigating through all the challenges that come their way towards their goal.
Hard Work
We all believe in the power of hard work. And we are very sure that there is no shorter route to ones’ goals. But Rick Contreras has a different view on the topic of hard work. According to him, hard work is the shortcut to achieve your goals quickly. His logic is that ‘the more no of hours one puts into the set task, the better they get at carrying out the task. And the better they get at what needs to be done, the faster they accomplish their goals.
Rick Contreras’ refreshing take on the ever-present question of why some succeed and others don’t, clears the air off muddled thought and helps in realigning our focus towards our goals. We thank Rick and wish him all the success he deserves.
