Talking about the motivation behind starting the company, the founder Kuldeep Singh Kholi, said, “I was born and brought up in Agra, the city where you can find many shoe manufacturers, retailers, wholesalers, and trades, being surrounded by them helped me observe this industry closely and made me love it. Growing up I wanted to start a brand that provides a variety of footwear options for men because gone are the day when men used to wear a single pair of shoes at every event. With the emergence of the modern world and changes in fashion styles, it was important to make a brand that offers shoes for every event and Sanfrissco always aims to do so, we try to bring something new to the table. So that we not only bring something new for our customers but we also attract more investors towards our brand and make it grow.“
Talking more about the shoemaking community and his contribution to them, the founder shared, ” I had been in the industry for almost two decades but when the world was under lockdown, I had a lot of time in my hand so I decided to make the best use of it and within the fourth week of lockdown I started an association FAFM (Fraternity of Agra Footwear Manufacturers). It is an association for the domestic shoe manufacturers of Agra, we aim to support the community in every way possible. In the near future, we envision expanding the association's horizon in other parts of the nation as well. “
Back in 2005, when the company was launched it did not have any particular niche and use to target men who preferred simple footwear. However, in 2014-15 Kuldeep Singh Kholi got into the e-commerce world and from there he realized that the footwear industry is more than just simple, classic shoes. After a lot of research, he incorporated the different designs of shoes in the brand and he also listed Sanfrissco on popular eCommerce platforms, with that the brand also launched its own online retail store. Today they target customers aged between 20 to 50 years. The brand is also planning to launch an all-leather, high-end range called ‘Sanfrissco Luxor.’
