As a travel influencer and entrepreneur, how do you balance your personal and professional life while still making time for your philanthropic work?
It can definitely be a challenge, but I've found that prioritizing my time and staying organized has been key. I make sure to schedule in time for my work, travel, and philanthropic efforts, and I try to stick to a routine as much as possible. Of course, there are always unexpected things that come up, but I try to be flexible and adapt as needed.
What inspired you to start your travel agency, and how have you grown it over the years?
I've always had a passion for travel, and I wanted to create a company that would help others experience the world in a meaningful way. When we first started out, it was just me and two of my sisters, Shweta Joon and Natascha Shah, but over time we've been able to expand and offer more services to our clients. We've also been able to build a strong reputation in the industry, by bringing first hand information about all the travel destinations we visit, which has helped us attract more business from around the world. It is about the personal touch and connection we have built with our followers/readers, travel queries are answered instantly and interesting itineraries are curated according to everyone’s need which is topped with images and videos showcasing destinations on social media and the website.
As a former lawyer, how has your legal background helped you in your current work?
My legal background has definitely come in handy in a number of ways. For example, it's helped me navigate the various legal and regulatory issues that can arise when running a business. It's also helped me negotiate contracts and other agreements with clients and partners.
Tell me more about your philanthropic work. What causes are you most passionate about?
I'm passionate about a number of causes, but one that's particularly close to my heart is working with the elderly. I believe that they have so much to offer, and I want to help them live their best lives. That's why I am launching an app called ANT- Alive N’ Thriving, that's focused on their well-being. It will offer a range of services and resources to help them stay healthy, active, and engaged. Not only that, but will help them progress more in life, because it is not the end.
What advice do you have for other women who are looking to start their own businesses?
My advice would be to believe in yourself and your abilities. Starting a business can be challenging, but it's also incredibly rewarding. Don't be afraid to take risks and try new things. And most importantly, surround yourself with supportive people who will encourage and uplift you along the way.
