You are a nutrition expert yourself. What are your eating habits like?
My eating schedule intrigues a lot of people. No matter what time I wake up, my first meal of the day is usually around 4pm. I have been quizzed multiple times on this and people confuse it with intermittent fasting or some other diet plan. It is nothing of that sort. I follow the basic logic ‘Eat when you are hungry’. So if 4pm is the time I feel hungry, that is when I eat. My body will decide when it needs food, not a clock. That is how people ate in ancient times, they did not have a watch. They followed the growl of their stomach and fed themselves.
So what do those meals look like? What do you eat in a day?
Before my lunch and around 2 pm in the afternoon after I workout on an empty stomach, I have two cups of black coffee. I mostly eat eggs as my first meal. The common assumption when I say eggs is that I only consume boiled eggs. Absolutely not! I eat eggs in various styles, be it the most loved omelet or scrumptious scrambled eggs with cheese and sausages. I look forward to my first meal of the day as it is my favorite meal. My second meal of the day happens to be around 12am, in the night. As a heavy meat eater and my favorite cuisine being Indian, most of my meals are yummy meat preparations in Indian style.
Interesting! What is your workout schedule like? What are the exercises you follow?
My workouts mostly consist of strength training. It involves heavy weight lifting that limits me to do less than 10 repetitions. I train at an advanced intensity therefore the frequency of my workout is only thrice a week. This works in my favor as I do not have time to workout five times a week due to my choc-a-bloc schedule.
I take a break from workout to recover from the breakdown of muscles. On rest days I do the ‘Animal Flow’ routine at the beach. It has been my forte and works like magic for my body. My only advice is even though I am sharing my routine, following it without context is not advised. There is a rationale behind every step I follow.
